Survey opens
on budget plan
The city is seeking feedback from residents about the fiscal year 2024-2025 budget.
The city is facing a more than $2 million budget deficit. City leaders are looking to residents to indicate what matters most to them as they determine how to raise revenue and cut costs while keeping services intact.
The survey is at novato.org/opennovato. It closes at 11:59 p.m. April 1.

Forum set
on housing
The Marin Coalition will hold a talk titled, “Paradigm Shift: Rethinking Housing Affordability,” on April 10.
The session will look at factors that have played a role in the state’s housing crisis. The program begins at noon at the Club at McInnis, 350 Smith Ranch Road.

Rainy weekend
on tap for Marin
A cold front will bring light to moderate rain to the Bay Area beginning Friday, the National Weather Service said.
Between 0.5 to 1 inch of rain is predicted for the North Bay through the weekend.
Rain is expected to arrive Friday afternoon, followed by showers “on and off” through Sunday morning, National Weather Service meteorologist Brayden Murdock said.
Wind gusts are possible along the coast, but the winds will calm on Saturday, he said.
