‘It can save lives at critical moments’, says driving expert over little-known button – here’s how it works
A DRIVING expert has revealed how a button barely known by anyone can save lives at critical moments on the road.
The savvy motorist, who goes by @automobileleader on TikTok, explained how many people are dangerously unaware of the ins and outs of their own cars.
He promised to teach drivers the correct usage of Inner Loop and Outer Loop functions.
The two buttons are usually located on your dashboard, and are symbolised by a car icon with a straight arrow coming in, and the other with a circular arrow inside it.
The TikToker explained that using these buttons correctly makes driving more fuel efficient and can be a life-saver in “critical moments”.
“This button on the car must not be pressed at will, otherwise it is very dangerous,” he began.
“Many guys have been driving for more than 10 years, but he doesn’t even know how to use the internal and external circulation on the car.
“Today I will teach you the correct usage of Inner Loop and Outer Loop. If you learn it, not only is driving more fuel efficient, but it can save lives at critical moments.”
The expert listed four cases where the two little-known buttons can come in handy.
He said: “First, when we smoke in a car, open the Outer Loop. This can quickly discharge the smoke from the car.
“Second, when we are stuck in traffic, open the Inner Loop. This way the exhaust fumes from outside the car can’t get in.”
He continued: “Third, after the vehicle is exposed to the sun, opening the Outer Loop can quickly discharge toxic gases from the car.
“Fourth, when driving on the expressway, open the Outer Loop. It can prevent the driver from becoming sleepy due to lack of oxygen.
“Isn’t it very practical?”
TOW TRUCK MAGIC
Meanwhile, a tow truck driver has revealed a “magic” button that is hidden in every car and could save your life in an emergency.
The savvy motorist, who goes by @towtruckwags on TikTok, shared the handy feature which can solve your problems on the road.
He explained how a simple move can shift your car into neutral, which can be life-saving in case it suddenly breaks down.
By doing so, drivers can easily move their vehicles off a busy area, saving their lives from risk and protecting others from what could have been a nasty accident.
All you need is a key and a screwdriver.
The small feature usually sits next to your shifting gear, shaped like a tiny circle.
Once you remove its lid, carefully and slowly insert the screwdriver into the whole, successfully putting even the most stubborn motors into neutral.
