Colonie to launch online portal for town park system

COLONIE, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- Colonie Town Supervisor Peter Crummey announced the launch of a new online portal for the town's park system. The site will go live on March 22 at 9 a.m.

The portal will provide residents with digital access to all town park services, including activity enrollment and making reservations for rental spaces and athletic fields. The upgrade will feature a new key fob system which will be used as a gate pass for parking access, pool access and pool concession stand purchases. This system will also make all future park system transactions cashless.

"This advancement for our Town Parks will provide a more efficient and convenient gateway for our residents to more readily access all that our parks have to offer as well as streamline operations within our parks system." said Town Supervisor Crummey.

Residents can create a Parks Portal account online through the town's Parks and Recreation website. Citizens can also have an account generated for them by visiting the main office at Colonie Mohawk River Park, located at 71 Schermerhorn Road.
