"Mom Boss" gym owner aims to inspire with GUTS event

ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) — An Albany gym owner is set to host a women's empowerment event on Saturday called GUTS—Girls Using Their Strength.

Brittany Burnham wears many hats. She's a CEO, Podcast Host, Coach, and a "mom boss" on a mission to help other women shine on the job and in life.

“I wanted to be surrounded by more women, who I can support but who can also support me," Burham said. “Because I’m still struggling. I have challenges. I want women to feel safe to be able to talk about it.”

Attendees are invited to Burnham's gym, PWR: Power Wellness Recovery, at 25 Erie Blvd, Suite 4 in Albany. There, women will hear from a diverse group of 16 panelists on Leadership, Resilience, Confidence, Branding, and Vitality.

“I started the business when I was 35 years old, and six years later, so many things have changed—like being a mom of four to my health," Burnham said. "What I did then does not work for me now. So, GUTS is a reflection. I want to be able to give that to more women.”
