Gautam Gambhir Indirectly SLAMS MS Dhoni Over VIRAL Advertisement Ahead of IPL 2024 Match Between CSK-RCB?
Chennai: Hours ahead of the IPL 2024 opening clash between Chennai and Bengaluru on Friday, former India cricketer Gautam Gambhir has taken an indirect dig at MS Dhoni. The former CSK captain featured in an ad before the 2023 ODI World Cup and that is what Gambhir has indirectly pointed at. Gambhir claims in his post on X that it is difficult to win the World Cup as there is so much pressure. Gambhir requests no one should bring any twist and urged that such ads are not played in the future.
“Having played the World Cup and won it, I know the pressure and I know the jubilation too. 140 crore Indians hold their breath…and all that matters is winning the World Cup!!! So, guys don’t bring in any more twist. Don’t let the Ad play. Just let the boys play,” Gambhir’s tweet read.

This will only be just the second time that Dhoni will not start an IPL season as skipper of CSK after Ravindra Jadeja was named the captain in IPL 2022, only for him to be replaced by the legendary wicketkeeper-batter after eight matches in the season.
