We went on a £99 Wowcher holiday – the trouble began before we’d even arrived at our destination… then we saw the hotel
A PAIR of women who paid £99 for a Wowcher mystery holiday have revealed the down sides of the vacation.
Ellie and her pal decided to take the risk and book a cheap holiday through the website, and were seen screaming and jumping for joy when they realised they were going to Marrakech, Morocco.
However, things started going downhill on the plane, when a fight broke out and the flight attendants had to restrain a man.
And they were even worse when they got to the hotel.
While the bedroom looked alright, with a wooden bed and plush velvet bedspread, the bathroom was anything but.
Zooming in on the shower tray in the TikTok video, Ellie showed how dirty it was – covered in grime.
“We went on our mystery holiday and this is how it went…” Ellie captioned the video.
She was quickly inundated with questions in the comments section, with one asking: “What was the hotel you stayed in please? We’ve just got this!”
“Ryad Qodwa, just be careful if it’s you and another girl going cause men literally chased us,” Ellie replied.
“We got Milan, our hotel was so poor we left and booked an air bnb,” another said.
“We also changed hotels £99 soon turned into £500,” Ellie admitted.
She also revealed that the hotel was “unclean, smelly, in the middle of nowhere with no other people that could speak English”.
“The closest shop was a 30 min drive away,” she added, calling the four star hotel “horrific”.
“What happened on the flight?” someone else said.
“The guy thought he’d died and was screaming to land the plane,” Ellie replied.
“The fight on the plane would have made me pass out,” another added.
“OH MY GOD I WAS ON THE SAME FLIGHT!” someone else wrote.
“I was sat two rows behind him when he kicked off before he got moved down the back.”
“We got Venice and ended up in the roughest part ever, groups of people at each corner shouting at us,” another recalled.
“We felt so unsafe and uncomfortable – we had to book a hotel 15 mins away.”
To which Ellie responded: “Our hotel that we booked was a 30 min drive – Wowcher literally put us in the deserts!”
