Chennai: While wickets kept falling around Virat Kohli, the former RCB captain held fort during the IPL 2024 opener on Friday in MA. Chidambaram stadium. But pacer Mustafizur Rahman came up with the goods once again as he dismissed Kohli with a short-pitch delivery. It looked like a back of a length delivery to which Kohli shuffled and played the pull.
It went in the air and Ajinkya Rahane, who was at deep mid-wicket, ran across to his right and then caught the ball. But realising, he would touch the boundary cushion, he flicked it to Rachin Ravindra, who completed the catch. Kohli perished for 21 off 20 balls. Here is the clip:

At the time of filing the copy, RCB find themselves in trouble after having lost five wickets. At the moment, Dinesh Karthik and Anuj Rawat are in the middle. RCB are 84 for five after 13 overs. Karthik and Rawat have a big mountain to climb if they want to get RCB to a defendable total.
