Canali’s in Rotterdam up for sale, still open for business
Canali’s Italian & American Restaurant, located at 126 Mariaville Road in Rotterdam, is up for sale. Even though it’s for sale, owners Henry and Peter Alteri said the restaurant is “business as usual.”
Participating lineup for Greene County Restaurant Week
Greene County Restaurant Week is returning from April 6 to 14. Participating restaurants will be serving up special prix-fixe menus for a set price.
Smoothie chain continues area expansion, opening new spot in East Greenbush
Smoothie King, a national smoothie company with over 1,350 locations, is continuing its expansion into the Capital Region. The chain is set to open a new location in the Shoppes At Greenbush Commons at 307 Troy Road in East Greenbush.
Applebee’s offers free meals for children on Easter
Applebee’s restaurants around the Capital Region are offering complimentary kid’s meals on Sunday, March 31. The meals are available for children aged ten and under, accompanied by an adult.
Bye-i Brewing moving to new space in Cohoes
Bye-i Brewing opened its taproom four year ago at 122 Remsen Street in Cohoes. Now, the company is consolidating its operations into one spot at 151 Saratoga Street, also in Cohoes.
Saratoga Coffee Traders closing in Schenectady
Saratoga Coffee Traders is closing its doors at 123 Jay Street in Schenectady and pausing its online sales. Owner Scott Swedish said he is moving into a new position and plans to sell the company.
The Hudson Valley candy shop with celebrity owners
Samuel's Sweet Shop in Rhinebeck is owned by Paul and Julie Rudd, Jeffrey Dean Morgan and his wife Hilarie Burton, and Andy Ostroy. The owners, who all live around the Dutchess County area, took over the shop after owner Ira Gutner suddenly passed away in 2014.
New owners, new plans for Cappie’s in Amsterdam
Cappie’s Drive-In, located at 264 Route 67 in Amsterdam, is now under new ownership and is preparing to open on Friday, April 5. As the new owners, Peter Michailidis, Kevin Tiefenwerth, and Robert Dicker have some big things planned.
Restaurant day to benefit Dutchess County SPCA
The Dutchess County SPCA is holding its second annual restaurant day called “Feed You, Feed Them.” The event is set for Thursday, April 4.
