Just rewatched the game. I highly recommend if you have it recorded...
We didn't change the offense in the last 7 minutes... we just actually passed to guys coming off a roll. And guys like Santos started to cut instead of standing around. We made the extra pass.
We just made shots and made better passes in the existing offense.
We pressed and they fell into it. And yes, they tried to kill clock instead of attack which we all know can end up badly.
Have to give credit to CAG. Yes, I said it. He stuck with what was working when we started pressing and scoring.
He sat Bennett and Cheeks ran point. Did you realize Bennett did not play in the last seven minutes... as we needed the bigger guard lineup? Now why he waited so long who knows. But he made that change. And I am always all over him for lack of adjustments so I have to give credit there.
No subs for the last 8 minutes. Even burned a timeout to make sure those five could stay in for the final push. Yes, Anthony Grant called a timeout in the right spot.
He did many things differently in that game at the beginning and end. And I have to give him credit. As I choke on some crow (tastes so good).
