My hair was covered in bald patches -it’s now so much thicker thanks to a £6 oil & no, it doesn’t make your locks greasy
A WOMAN who’s hair was thin and balding has shared how she got it looking thick and healthy again, in just three months.
Tori shared an insight into her haircare journey via a video posted to her TikTok channel @toriissaa_, which has now gone viral.
Showcasing what her locks looked like three months ago, Tori revealed that her hair was extremely thin, with visible, large bald patches.
However, she managed to totally transform it, using four key products.
Tori said that one thing which “saved” her hair, was rosemary oil, which can be purchased from Boots for as little as £3.
Rosemary oil has been proven to stimulate hair growth and improve the thickness of hair.
To use the product, simply massage a few drops of it into the scalp after washing your hair.
You can choose to wash it off, or leave it in all night.
Tori said she usually washes the hair off after three to four hours, and added that it doesn’t make her locks greasy.
The haircare whizz also used a scalp stimulator, to massage her hair for three to five minutes after oiling it.
Scalp stimulator encourage hair growth and can be bought from Amazon for £8.99.
They are handheld brushes that help to stimulate hair growth and exfoliate the scalp.
Tori added that she also likes to use hair masks, her favourite being a £35 product from Amika.
A product description reads: “A rich, ultra-moisturizing, repair hair mask that’s clinically proven after one use to significantly reduce breakage and prevent future damage.”
Leave in conditioner is another of Tori’s haircare tips, and she recommended using Ouai, which is available at Boots for £26.
Finally, Tori revealed that she only uses heat on her hair once a week, and has switched to using heatless curlers.
Putting heat on your hair weakens its keratin strands which makes it more prone to damage and breakage.
Tips for using rosemary oil
- Use with a carrier oil such as coconut, almond, or jojoba oil.
- Massage into the scalp to help increase blood flow.
- Use two to three times per week.
Tori’s hair is now looking so much thicker, thanks to her five part hack.
TikTok users raced to the comments section of Tori’s video, which has been viewed by 2.1 million people, to share their thoughts.
One person said: “So happy for you”.
Another person said: “Amazing results”.
A third person said: “Thank you! Hopefully this helps me”.
