Boy, 7, killed in horror smash between lorry and car near Bristol as 4 others rushed to hospital
A SEVEN-year-old boy has been killed following a crash between a lorry and car on the M4.
Four others in the silver Volkswagen Polo were rushed to hospital following this afternoon’s horror near Bristol.
Emergency services, including two air ambulances, raced to the westbound carriageway between junctions 18 and 19, at 1pm today.
The lorry was carrying hay bales when it collided with the car.
Despite their best efforts, the boy died at the scene.
The four survivors’ injuries aren’t believed to be life-changing or life-threatening.
Two of them have been discharged.
An Avon and Somerset Police spokesperson said: “Our thoughts are with his family and they continue to be supported by a specially-trained officer.
“No arrests have been made in connection with the investigation into the collision.”
