My neighbours think I’ve lost the plot when I start HOOVERING my front garden – but I’m just getting it ready for spring
A WOMAN has admitted her neighbours think she’s “lost the plot” when they see her hoovering her front garden.
Sherell took to Instagram to share a video of herself getting to work on the lawn with her vacuum cleaner.
“When the neighbours think you’ve lost the plot!” she wrote over the top of the clip.
And she added in the caption that it’s “that time of year again”, writing: “I’ve officially lost the plot hoovering my grass!”
“Am I the only one?” Sherell, who regularly posts home and lifestyle comment on her Instagram page, laughed.
People were quick to admit they can entirely relate to Sherell’s situation, with one writing: “I remember the first time I saw my neighbour hoovering his patio… I thought he’d lost his mind!”
“You go girl!!! F what the neighbours think!” another said.
“We’re keeping our homes clean inside and out!”
“I vacuum our Astro turf, my friends find it odd but … it is what it is,” a third said.
“We keep a spare old vacuum in the garden shed for that purpose!”
“I love hoovering my grass!” someone else said.
“I still think this beats having to mow the lawn,” another wrote.
“I am seriously considering artificial grass for our garden.”
“I would give my left arm for artificial grass!” someone else commented.
“Also, anyone commenting negatively on here needs to go and look after their own grass! Cos I bet it’s dirty AF!”
“Me too, I’ve kept our old Dyson just for the grass!” another laughed.
“I love this, the neighbours think I’m mental,” someone else admitted.
But others weren’t keen on Sherell’s decision to put artificial grass in her garden.
“I will never have fake grass,” one raged.
