March is the busiest time of the year for college basketball fans and it’s not just because of the NCAA tournament.
Not only is the Big Dance in full swing but there are plenty of other changes happening around the sport, too. The transfer portal is getting used to its full potential and there are plenty of notable coaches who are changing gigs around college basketball as well.
Some of the most significant names include former NBA players such as Juwan Howard (out at Michigan) and Jerry Stackhouse (out at Vanderbilt). Replacing them at these schools include rising stars in the coaching ranks coming from mid-major programs such as Florida Atlantic University and James Madison University.
