I spent £15k on IVF after 7 years of trying for kids… only for my man to cheat as soon as I got pregnant with his twins
MANY women dream about starting a family with their other half, especially if they have been together for a few years.
Sadly, that dream turned into a nightmare for one mum after she spent years trying to conceive – only for her partner to suddenly leave.
Even more shockingly, they’d been engagaed when it happened.
Sharing her story in a now-viral video, the heartbroken mum alleged that she and her former fiancé had been together for the better part of a decade.
Like many couples though, they’d struggled with fertility issues and spent seven years trying to conceive.
Hoping that they would be able to start a family, she claimed that they’d spent £15,000 on three rounds of IVF.
Having endured months of gruelling injections, medication and appointments though, the 33-year-old was delighted when she discovered she was pregnant with twins.
As she prepared to welcome her little ones though, her excitement turned into despair.
According to her viral video, her other half suddenly left – when she was eight weeks pregnant.
Disappearing without warning for two weeks, the 43-year-old allegedly took the car and left the expectant mum with no food in the house.
She later claimed her partner had been having a relationship with a younger woman and spent the two weeks with her.
In a follow-up video about her former fiancé, she wrote: “I will never be able to understand how a man can do so much to have a family with you [and] to be living a double life behind your back.
“I put my body and mind through hell for our dream come true and now all I feel is heartache and pain for me and 2 tiny heartbeats that had no choice.”
She also stated that she’d receieved countless cruel texts and messages from her other half.
Thankfully, the mum seems to be putting the pain behind her and even proudly showed off her bump on TikTok.
Cheekily, she even put a sound bite from Glee with the words: “All that work and what did it get me?”
In the caption, she then joked that her ex was ‘probably’ still watching her viral videos on TikTok.
As the video began to go viral, plenty of mums shared their support for the 33-year-old in the comments.
“This happens too often. On a twin page I’m part of, quite a few men seem to leave after successful IVF,” explained one viewer.
She added: “One said they assumed it wouldn’t work, one said they hoped it wouldn’t! Why try then.”
Others just empathised with the heartbroken woman and shared how shocked they were by her story.
“I can’t cope…what is wrong with people. How can they do this at the time you need them the most? You had a lucky escape,” added another.
A third wrote: “You’re about to have the most incredible journey. He won’t but you absolutely will.”
While she might be hurting now, we know this mum will thrive when her little ones are finally here.
