Hardik Pandya Almost in TEARS After SRH Embarrass MI in IPL 2024 Match | WATCH VIDEO

Hyderabad: Hardik Pandya was at the centre of it all even before the IPL 2024 season started. Ever since being appointed as the captain of Mumbai Indians, spotlight has been on him. To make things worse for Hardik, Mumbai lost in Ahmedabad where the MI skipper was booed and then things got worse in Hyderabad.

After the home side beat the Mumbai Indians by 36 runs, all hell broke loose and fans started blaming Hardik for the loss. Seemed like Hardik could not take it and got emotional and was almost in tears in the clip that is now going viral from after the match when the hand shakes were taking place.

“Wicket was good, 277 no matter how bad or good you bowl, if the opposition has to score that much, they have batted well. They (the bowlers) were good, it was tough out there, almost 500 runs were scored and the wicket was helping the batters, we could have done a few things here and there, but having said that, we have a young bowling attack and we will learn,” said Pandya at the post-match presentation.

Asked to bat first, SRH posted a mammoth 277/3 – highest in the history of Indian Premier League. They surpassed Royal Challengers Bangalore’s 263/5 against Pune Warriors India in 2013.

In reply, Mumbai Indians stayed in the chase till the 18th over before managing 246/5 in 20 overs to lose their second match on the trot in the ongoing edition. It was also the first time, 500 runs were scored in a game.
