Schenectady man sentenced for sexually exploiting a child
SCHENECTADY, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- A Schenectady man has been sentenced for the sexual exploitation of a child, according to the U.S. Attorney's Office. Thomas Ullman, 47, now faces 25 years in prison and 15 years of post-imprisonment supervision.
Ullman previously pleaded guilty to using a teen dating website between March of 2020 and June of 2021 to persuade young girls to virtually communicate with him while pretending to be a teenage boy. He admitted to instructing multiple girls as young as 13-years-old to engage in sexually explicit conduct during the online conversations.
In addition to his sentence, Ullman was ordered to pay $5,000 in restitution to one of the victims. He will also be required to register as a sex offender upon his release.
