Oldham Athletic 1-3 The Coasters
On an unusually sunny day in Oldham saw the Coasters run riot in the first half storming into a 3 goal lead before Dan Gardner pulled one back for the home side just before half time.
Both sides enjoyed possession in the early exchanges with Fylde enjoying large spells in the Oldham half.
The first real chance of the half came to the Coasters when Nick Haughton saw his free kick ratlle off the bar which was really unlucky.
Great work from Bryce Hosannah running through the middle, passes the ball to Connor barrett who slid the ball through to Nick Haughton who finished expertly in to the bottom corner in the 9th minute to give the Coasters a deserved lead.
Haughton once again driving at the Oldham defence with no pressure on him, this time unfortunately firing over the bar in the 12th minute.
Fylde pushed on for the 2nd goal in the game with Jon Ustabasi and Max Conway linking well on the left hand side and unlucky not to double the Coasters lead.
Fylde carrying on there early dominance in the opening 20 minutes of the match with the Oldham box being the busier of the two boxes.
Max Conway with a corner towards the near post which causes an Oldham error as Adam Long nets for his first goal for the Coasters which causes boo’s to ring around Boundary park whilst giving the Coasters a 0-2 lead.
Great skill from Haughton once again flicking the ball over the Oldham defenders head unfortunately volleying wide in the 20th minute.
First free kick for Oldham in the 22nd minute headed away by Danny Whitehead which leads to Oldham’s first corner which ultimately comes to nothing.
Late challenge from Oldham’s Hammond avoids booking after a tackle from behind on Connor Barrett.
Foul from Conlon gives Haughton another great chance from a free kick which just goes over the bar in the 28th minute.
Liam Kitching becomes the first player to get booked after hacking down Bryce Hosannah on the 30th minute.
Great work from the resulting free kick from Nick Haughton who finds Ethan Mitchell who heads the ball into the back of the net to give the Coasters a 0-3 lead.
Hosannah gets put in the book after the goal for coming back onto the pitch too early.
Oldham make the first change of the game in the 33rd minute with Hammond going off and being replaced by Dallas.

Good play from Oldham down the right hand side earns a corner for the home side which was cleared by Jon Ustabasi.
Great work from Haughton finds Ustabasi who finds Joe Westley who puts the ball into the back of the net but is unfortunately offside.
Oldham goal right on Half time with a great strike from Dan Gardner in to the bottom corner from outside of the box making the score 1-3.
Sub at half time for Oldham with Joe Garner coming off and being replaced by Mike Fondop.
Early second half pressure from the home side down the left hand side which comes to nothing due to good defending from Bryce Hosannah.
Fondop with the first chance of the half heading well wide off Theo Richardson’s goal.
Great work from Haughton who finds Ustabasi out wide who sets up Danny Whitehead who fired wide in the 52nd minute.
Great break from Ustabasi who drives at the Oldham defence but fires over in the 55th minute.
Great defending from Harry Davis to head away for a corner after good work from Gardner and Dallas. Norwood heads Iwide from the resulting corner in the 57th minute.
Fondop sent off after a shocking tackle on Ethan Mitchell.
James Norwood also booked for his protests.
Gardner booked for his protests against the referee in the 63rd minute.
Dallas doing extremely well down the left putting a great ba across the box in the 67th minute.
Great goalkeeping from Theo who clears after Norwood almost latches onto a through ball.
Conlon fires wide from outside the box after good build up play from the 10 men.
Adam Long replaced by Sam Graham after a great performance in the heart of the Coasters defence.
Deflected strike from Dallas goes wide for a corner in the 77th minute. Dallas made a great impact for the home side since coming on.
Changes from both sides with Hallam Hope coming on for Dan Gardner and Nick Haughton going off with Danny Ormerod coming on for the Coasters with 12 minutes to go.
Head clash between Liam Hogan and Harry Davis delays the game after an Oldham corner in the 78th minute.
Both sides not really respecting the ball with the game stretching coming towards the end of the game.
Sheron fires wide of the Coasters goal after great work from Dallas once again in the 84th minute.
The Coasters make the final change of the game in the 86th minute with Tom Walker coming on for Max Conway.
The fourth official announces 7 minutes of time to be added on.
Hope put in the book for the reoccurring off dissent in the 94th minute.
Ustabasi unlucky to overrun the ball in the 97th minute as the referee blows for the final whistle shortly after confirming a 1-3 win for the Coasters.
