Indianapolis police fatally shoot a man after he fires shots following a standoff with a SWAT team

Indianapolis police say officers fatally shot a man after he fired shots following a standoff with a SWAT team. Officers were called to the city’s west side Sunday night about a man reportedly firing shots into the air. Officers found the suspect in a car and he then led them on a brief pursuit that ended outside a home. A SWAT team was called to the scene after the man got out of the car and held a gun to his head. About an hour later, police say the man began walking away and fired shots. Three officers returned fire, wounding the man, who died at a hospital.
