A GARDENING expert has revealed a simple trick to make your lawn look “lush” in time for summer.
Jonny, said that the first step to making sure your lawn looks great is weeding.
Taking to TikTok, the gardening lover said: “I know what you’re thinking, that’s a bit boring, it’s not really a tip.
“However, if you don’t get all of your weeds out, they will smother your grass seed”.
Jonny said that he as a Weeder, which is a machine that pulls weeds out by the route.
However, these are extremely expensive, and the one that Jonny has is worth over £300.
Thankfully, Jonny said that if you don’t have a weeder, you can use a kitchen knife instead.
Demonstrating his tip, he took a basic kitchen knife and used it to dig around the weed.
He then pulled it up, until the roots had been completely ripped out of the ground.
Jonny said that this will do the exact same job as an expensive Weeder.
He said: “Maintaining a lush lawn isn’t just about watering and mowing, it’s about tackling the overlooked menace beneath out feed: weeds.”
Jonny’s video, which was posted under the username @gardenwithjonny, has likely left many impressed, as it has gone viral, racking up 96,000 views on the video sharing platform.
TikTok users raced to the video’s comments section to share their thoughts on Jonny’s tip.
One person said: “Can you just come do my lawn for me, Jonny? I will provide tea”.
Another person said: “I love using my weeder on the allotment.
