While there are some slight discrepancies in size—an inch taller here or wider there—most domestic carriers consider a carry-on bag to be no larger than 22 inches long, 14 inches wide, and 9 inches high (international flights usually have smaller bag size regulations), and often without a weight limit beyond being able to hoist it overhead.
