Dow jumps 216 points at open as recent data fuels hopes of rate cuts

The S&P 500 rose 32.6 points, or 0.62%, at the open to 5244.05​, while the Nasdaq Composite rose 141.1 points, or 0.87%, to 16418.567 at the opening bell.
