My 4-ingredient DIY serum will make your hair grow – start with a cheap black seed, where I’m from it cures everything
ONE hair guru is going back to her roots to help lengthen her locks.
When it comes to growing your mane, she believes in traditional products rather than trends.
In a viral video, Siki (@sikitips) shares her easy hair-saving serum that uses just four ingredients.
After adding a cup of water to a pan on the stove, the first step is to pour in her secret ingredient.
Don’t be fooled by the unassuming seed – kalonji, similar to Roman coriander, is the real deal.
In her religion, it even “cures all disease.”
Just stir it until the seed becomes half of the quantity in the simmering pan.
Her main ingredient is also a super affordable buy.
Online retail giant Amazon sells Rani Kalonji for $6.99.
The traditional Indian product is also commonly referred to as nigella, or onion seeds.
Kalongi is described as being both nutty and slightly bitter in flavor.
The whole seeds are frequently used in pulses, vegetables, chutneys and naan breads.
Once everything is strained into a mug, you can add a spoonful of the now-brown liquid into a bowl.
To ensure the ultimate glam growth, simply pour a spoon-sized amount of rose water as well.
Just a couple more ingredients and your hair will be on its potentially waist-length way.
Some aloe vera gel and ten drops of rosemary essential oil will also do the hair-taming trick.
Before applying your strengthening serum, make sure to wet your hair first.
Don’t be afraid to get your hands dirty either.
Put your hand right in the bowl and add the mix to your scalp.
Make sure to go between sections and don’t miss a spot.
Just let your DIY concoction sit on your hair for two hours and then wash it out with shampoo.
For easy storage, just place it in the fridge.
