Report: Spurs want to send 20-year-old on loan to a ‘big’ club next season
TyC Sports have claimed that Tottenham Hotspur want to loan Alejo Veliz to a big club next season so that the striker learns to handle the pressures associated with playing at the top level.
Veliz’s loan move to Sevilla has not gone according to plan, with the youngster yet to make a single start for the La Liga side and being restricted to just three appearances as a substitute (Transfermarkt).
Last week, AS suggested that Spurs are not happy with the 20-year-old’s situation at Seville as they only decided to green-light the loan move since they were told the centre-forward would be getting game time.
Just a couple of days ago, Fabrizio Romano revealed that Tottenham have already started working on a new loan move for the centre-forward next season as they want him to get competitive minutes under his belt.

The same information has now been backed by TyC Sports, who say that Tottenham have begun the process of ‘looking for a new club’ to send Veliz to in the summer.
The report says that the North London club’s plans are clear and they are keen for the Argentine to get into the ‘rhythm’ of playing in the big European leagues.
It is alleged that Ange Postecoglou’s men want to send the former Rosario Central man to a ‘big’ side so that he can get used to the demands of playing at the highest level.

One would hope that Tottenham would have learned from their mistake of loaning Veliz out to Sevilla. Rather than sending the 20-year-old to a La Liga, Serie A, Ligue 1 or Bundesliga side, it would perhaps be more beneficial to loan him to a Championship outfit.
Not only would such a move give the Argentine a better chance of getting regular starts under his belt but it would also help him get accustomed to the physicality and intensity of English football.
