Driver dies during extrication after Yamhill County crash

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) -- A driver is dead following a single-car crash in Yamhill County early Thursday morning, authorities said.

According to Tualatin Valley Fire & Rescue, a car crashed into a tree on NE Albertson Road, near Bald Peak, caving in the roof and trapping the driver inside.

Crews from TVF&R and Gaston Fire quickly responded to the scene to extricate the driver, however, officials said the driver died during extrication.

Information about the incident is limited. As of 7:20 Thursday morning, crews were still on the scene.
