Hardik Pandya Booed in IPL 2024 Shows Rohit Sharma’s Status – Adam Gilchrist Amid MI Captaincy ROW

Mumbai: There is a lot happening in the Mumbai Indians camp, and it is not good. Now that Hardik Pandya-led Mumbai Indians have three on the trot, there are already talks doing the rounds. Amid all of this, former Australian legend Adam Gilchrist has given his two cents on the snowballing issue. As per Gilchrist, everyone was stunned by the decision of taking Hardik from Gujarat to Mumbai and what was even more surprising was Rohit Sharma stepping down as the captain.

Calling the decision to appoint Hardik as the captain as ‘weird’, Gilchrist claimed that the current MI leader getting booed shows the status of Rohit.

“Everyone was stunned by the decision of taking Hardik from Gujarat to Mumbai and making him MI captain by removing Rohit Sharma. It’s an odd one & the level at which Hardik is being booed shows the status of Rohit Sharma in the game,” he said on Club Prairie Fire YT.

One understands that taking a call of such magnitude may have bad implications, and moreover Hardik was appointed as the leader looking at the future of the side. Hence, to draw a conclusion so early would not be fair for Hardik.
