Albany man convicted of murder

ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) — The Albany County District Attorney's Office announced a conviction in a murder case from November 2022. Willie Green, 41, of Albany, had initially pleaded not guilty in July 2023.

The DA's office said the jury found Green guilty of second-degree murder, second-degree criminal facilitation, and first-degree hindering prosecution. The verdict was handed down in Judge Roger McDonough's at Albany County Courtroom on April 4.

According to the indictment, Green worked with other people to purposefully cause the death of Hacief Oliver on Second Street and North Lake Avenue in Albany. He faces 25 years to life in prison when he's sentenced on May 24.
