Sunrise Airways taps Claudio Buncamper as new Chief Commercial Officer

SANTO DOMINGO, Dominican Republic – Sunrise Airways announced the appointment of Claudio Buncamper to the position of Chief Commercial Officer (CCO). A veteran of 33 years in the aviation industry, Mr. Buncamper will lead the carrier’s strategic marketing and business development initiatives as it seeks to expand intra-regional flights connecting gateways across the Caribbean.

Immediately prior to joining Sunrise Airways, Mr. Buncamper served as Director of Marketing and Sales at Windward Islands Airways International (Winair), a post he held for the past 23 years. Mr. Buncamper’s tenure with Winair also includes two years serving as Traffic Manager and six years working in customer service and flight dispatch. His airline industry experience also includes two years managing the St. Maarten Station for BWIA.

Sunrise Airways operates scheduled passenger service and charter flights from its hubs in Port-au-Prince, Haiti and Santo Domingo in the Dominican Republic. The carrier serves 11 gateways across five Caribbean destinations – Cuba, the Dominican Republic, Guadeloupe, Haiti, and St. Maarten. Sunrise also operates flights to/from Miami and Panama City, Panama.
