Portion of Lake Hefner Trail closed for wall repair

OKLAHOMA CITY (KFOR) — A portion of the Lake Hefner Trail between Hobie Point Road and Portland Avenue will be closed in order to fix the retaining wall.

Approximately one-tenth of a mile of the Lake Hefner Trail, near Stars and Stripes Park, will be closed for 90 days as contractors repair the retaining wall in order to stop significant erosion that's caused by the adjacent marshland.

Cyclist and pedestrians looking to continue around the lake will have to detour onto Lake Hefner Drive until the repairs are finished.
