FORECAST DISCUSSION:
Good Monday Evening,
After a chilly start today, with frost and freeze across much of our area, temps turned out to be quite nice today, a bit below normal, but with tons of sunshine. Tonight, expect clouds to increase a bit, with overnight lows dropping not as cold, into the lower 40s.
Tuesday we will slowly see cloud cover increasing as we will be ahead of a cold front that will arrive Tuesday night. Rain showers will return late day with highs in the middle 60s. Expect rain to increase in coverage Tuesday night with the cold front, with lows near normal in the middle 40s.
Wednesday expect slow clearing, and colder day with highs only back into the middle 50s during the afternoon. We will see mostly clear skies Wednesday night, which will set us up for a quick drop in temps, with lows falling to near freezing in the city for Thursday morning and upper 20s outside of town. Thursday should be a nice day with a quick recovery, and highs back into the lower to near middle 60s.
Friday winds will shift around, and will end our cool spell, as temps will surge into the lower 70s as a warm front lifts north. This will set us up for a warm weekend, with isolated chances of showers and a few rumbles as the warm front will be north, and a cold front will be well off to our west in the mid section of the country.
This will push highs into the mid to upper 70s on Saturday with breezy conditions and a mainly early chance of showers. Sunday will have chances of showers, but not overly high chances, and highs around 80. We will have isolated pop-ups continuing into early next work week, with highs on Monday in the upper 70s.
