Argentine Holan takes charge of Ecuador's Barcelona SC

QUITO, April 23 (Xinhua) -- Argentine manager Ariel Holan has been appointed head coach of Barcelona SC for the rest of the 2024 season, the Ecuadorian club said on Tuesday.

The 63-year-old replaces Uruguayan Diego Lopez, who was sacked last Friday after a meager run of results.

"[Ariel] and his backroom staff will arrive this weekend with a view to start working next Monday [April 29]," Barcelona SC said
