A RARE sports car that appeared in Jason Statham film is now set to sell for an unbelievable price.
The unique vehicle starred alongside action legends in the 2007 hit film War.
The iconic 2004 Spyker C8 Spyder made hearts race as it tore through the silver screen in a thrilling high-speed chase scene.
The motors gem boasts a powerful Audi S8 4.2-litre V8 engine pumping out 395bhp.
And it clocks an impressive 186mph.
The showstopper features a metallic silver finish with a striking red leather interior and diamond-quilt stitching.
Manufacturers have included the coveted propeller steering wheel.
The Spyker also offers an extra air intake above the engine.
This example comes with the desirable “long” mohair hood design with rear buttresses.
Experts at auction house Rm Sotheby’s said: “Built in February 2004, this stunning example was finished in metallic silver over a red leather interior, with extensive diamond-quilt stitching throughout.
“Desirably this example has the ever-popular propeller steering wheel, along with the extra air intake above the engine.
“Matching its red interior is the mohair hood which is the more desirable ‘long’ design with rear buttresses, rather than the later ‘short’ hood.
“Importantly, this example is equipped with a more powerful Audi S8 engine while it features the beautiful 19-inch Aeroblade wheels, further adding to the aeronautical theme of the car.”
The rare silver sports car is now hitting the auction block with collectors set for a bidding war.
Its Hollywood debut has boosted its value skyrocketing from its original price of around £162,000 two decades ago.
Auctioneers said there are only a handful of models in circulation at the moment.
They added: “With only 121 examples of the C8 Spyder made, the open-topped sports car was known to enthusiasts as a thrilling alternative to supercars from rival marques.
“Yet the Spyker shot to cultural fame with numerous appearances in film, TV, and video games.”
The car appeared on the big screen with martial arts maestro Jet Li gripping the wheel in a battle against Statham’s character Crawford.
Auctioneers added: “The example offered here boosted Spyker’s cultural presence, particularly in North America, as it was driven in the 2007 blockbuster film, War.
“Starring the internationally acclaimed actors Jason Statham and Jet Li, the Hollywood movie gave the C8 a starring role as it was piloted by Li in an exciting action sequence.”
The sports car is set to go under the hammer on May 11 in Monaco.
It comes as a rare Ford dubbed “one of the most exclusive cars in the world” by Jeremy Clarkson is on sale at a bargain price.
The “modern classic” has racked up just 62,000 miles over the past two decades.
