Hillsboro kidnapping suspect arrested Tuesday morning

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) -- The suspect in a Hillsboro kidnapping on Monday morning was arrested early Tuesday morning and the victim is safe, authorities said.

According to Hillsboro police, they received the kidnapping report after a video on a community member's doorbell camera showed a woman crying before being taken away by a man.

Early on Tuesday morning, authorities said the suspect and victim were both identified and the man was taken into custody.

Authorities said that the victim and suspect knew each other and that this wasn't a random incident.

The suspect is facing a kidnapping charge.
