The US Senate approved a bill on Tuesday requiring TikTok's Chinese parent company, ByteDance, to sell off its US assets within approximately nine months to avoid a nationwide ban on the popular short-video app. President Joe Biden has stated his intention to sign the bill into law on Wednesday.
