'Really weak Donald': Experts say Trump campaign slammed with warning signs in PA primary
Donald Trump's decision not to try and woo supporters of former Gov. Nikki Haley (R-SC) is coming back to bite him, experts said citing the results of Tuesday night's Pennsylvania's primary.
With independent voters reportedly out of reach, the former president will have to rely on his MAGA base and mainstream Republicans to beat President Joe Biden. Votes for Haley in Pennsylvania, despite her ending her campaign over a month and a half ago, illustrate a serious problem for the Trump campaign.
As the New York Times reported, the ghost of Haley's shutdown campaign — during which she harshly criticized the former president and bluntly stated he wouldn't win — continues to "haunt" Trump.

Reporting on the GOP primary vote in which only registered Republicans can take part, the Times reported, "Mr. Trump appeared to take 83 percent of the vote against Nikki Haley, his former rival in the Republican primaries. Still, Ms. Haley won the votes of more than 155,000 Pennsylvanians across the state that is considered essential to victory in November, although she ended her campaign more than a month ago."
According to Irma Fralic of Pennsylvania, who was co-chair of Women for Nikki, "The risk for Donald Trump would be that people would not vote because they’re not happy. I think I speak for many people in that we’re extremely frustrated that we have Biden and Trump to pick from.”
Taking to X, GOP political consultant Mike Madrid observed, "Trump's got trouble in the base."
The Trump antagonists at the Lincoln Project chipped in, "Trump's losing tens of thousands of *Republican* votes in Pennsylvania tonight. He's losing the votes to Nikki Haley, who dropped out over a month ago. Really weak Donald."
Anthony Scaramucci, who served in the Trump White House and has been beating the drum that a Trump November loss is on the horizon, added, "Nikki Haley dropped out of the race over a month ago, yet she is polling nicely in PA. Trump has no shot to win the presidency. Write it down and study it. And if you are with him: CRY."
