China's military has reacted cautiously to India's delivery of BrahMos supersonic cruise missiles to the Philippines, stating that security cooperation between the two countries should not harm third parties' interests or regional stability. The first batch of the missiles was delivered over two years after India signed a USD 375 million deal with the Philippines to supply weapon systems. China has also criticized the US for deploying medium-range ballistic missiles in the Philippines amid escalating hostilities over their South China Sea dispute.
