Investigation underway for Benton County hit-run that left woman dead

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) – A woman is dead after a possible hit and run on Highway 20 between Albany and Corvallis on Wednesday, according to authorities.

Benton County deputies responded to the area of Hyak Park around 3 p.m. after a farmer reported seeing the woman’s body. Investigators said the crash likely happened “within the last couple days.”

The suspect vehicle is unknown, but officials said it “could be a black Toyota, unknown model, with potential damage to the front passenger side.”
