Division I men
Vermont 15, UMBC 13: Brian Tregoning scored a game-high five goals, but the visiting Retrievers (5-6, 4-3 America East) fell to the Catamounts (7-7, 5-2) on Saturday. Mike Doughty (Glenelg) had a hat trick for UMBC. Despite the loss, the Retrievers will advance to Thursday’s conference semifinals against an opponent to be determined.
No. 12 Army West Point 13, Loyola Maryland 11: The visiting Black Knights (11-2, 6-2 Patriot League) broke a 10-10 tie with a 3-1 run and beat the Greyhounds (7-7, 5-3) on Friday. Navy will host Loyola on Tuesday in a conference quarterfinal. Adam Poitras scored four goals and Evan James had three for the Greyhounds.
No. 15 Towson 11, No. 18 Delaware 10: The visiting Tigers (11-3, 7-0 Colonial Athletic Association) scored twice with less than five minutes to go and beat the Blue Hens (8-4, 6-1) on Friday to secure the CAA regular-season title. Towson’s Bode Maurer assisted on the tying goal by Alex Roussel with 4:21 left to play and scored the game-winner assisted by Joaquin Villagomez (Severna Park) with 1:31 left. The Tigers will host the conference semifinals Thursday.
Navy 13, Bucknell 12, OT: Dane Swanson (McDonogh) scored the game-winner with 1:53 left in overtime to lift the host Mids (8-6, 5-3 Patriot) over the Bison (4-10, 2-6) on Friday. Bucknell went on a 3-0 run in the fourth quarter to force overtime. Xavier Arline had a hat trick and Swanson, Carter Ash and Max Hewitt each scored twice for Navy.
Division II men
Frostburg State 30, District of Columbia 1: Austin Sipes and Baylor Davis (Hereford) each scored a game-high five goals to lead the host Bobcats (12-3) over the Friends (1-11) on Saturday. Other top scorers included: Tyler Dooley with four goals and three goals each for Chase Buckwalter (Westminster), Owen McCallum (Manchester Valley), Bubba Love (Westminster) and Parker Masters. Frostburg State will advance to the East Coast Conference tournament, which begins on Wednesday.
Division III men
Stevenson 22, Widener 9: Dillon Linhardt and Gavin Gossen each scored five goals to lead the host Mustangs (11-6, 6-1 Middle Atlantic Conference Commonwealth) over the Pride (4-12, 3-4) on Saturday. Stevenson used a 10-0 run that spanned both halves to pull away. The Mustangs will advance to the conference semifinals on Wednesday.
Hood 9, Eastern 8: The host Blazers (9-8, 3-4 MACC) took an early lead and held off the Eagles (7-10, 3-4) to win Saturday. Hood was led by Connor Flok with four goals and Owen McDermott with two.
Washington College 18, Gettysburg 14: Cory Morgan (Saints Peter & Paul) scored back-to-back goals in the second quarter and the host Shoremen (6-10, 4-4 Centennial Conference) led the rest of the way Saturday. The Bullets fell to 8-7, 4-4. Washington College got three goals from Morgan, Cam Carrigan (John Carroll) and Ben Dickinson.
Goucher 14, Lycoming 11: The host Gophers (9-8, 3-6 Landmark Conference) trailed by a goal before going on a 4-0 run over the final 11:45 of the game to beat the Warriors (5-9, 2-7) on Saturday. Jack McDermot scored two of his game-high five goals during the run. Goucher finished above .500 in a full season for the first time since 2018. Jacob Morgan and Tyler May (Oakland Mills) each had a hat trick for the Gophers.
Lynchburg 18, St. Mary’s 6: The host Hornets (12-5) snapped a 3-3 tie with a 5-0 run in the second quarter and pulled ahead of the Seahawks (11-6) on Saturday. Nate Hochrein (Towson) scored twice for St. Mary’s. The Seahawks will play in a United East semifinal Tuesday.
Salisbury 21, Cabrini 9: Brice Bromwell and Ty Keaton each scored six goals and the visiting Sea Gulls (17-0) completed their 15th undefeated regular season Friday. Salisbury will host the winner of Kean/Mary Washington in a Coastal Lacrosse Conference semifinal on Wednesday.
Franklin & Marshall 12, McDaniel 7: The host Diplomats (7-10, 1-7 Centennial) used a 7-1 run in the third quarter to pull away from the Green Terror (8-9, 0-8) on Friday. Brighton Lorber (Loyola Blakefield) made 12 saves. Lorber, a graduate student, finished his career with a school-record 828 saves, second highest in conference history.
Stevenson 34, Albright 1: The host Mustangs (9-6, 4-1 MACC) opened with a 7-0 run and routed the Lions (5-10, 0-5) on Wednesday. Stevenson outshot Albright, 82-18. The Mustangs were led by Dillon Linhardt (6 goals), Max Racich (4 goals, 1 assist) and Darrell Curtis (3 goals, 3 assists).
York (Pa.) 15, Hood 5: The visiting Spartans (9-7, 7-0 MACC) extended their three-goal lead with a 9-2 run in the second half and beat the Blazers on Wednesday. Corey Bergman had a hat trick for York. Robbie Wiley had two goals for Hood.
Mary Washington 10, St. Mary’s 8: The visiting Eagles (8-8) used a 6-0 run that spanned both halves to win a come-from-behind victory over the Seahawks on Tuesday. St. Mary’s used a 6-0 run in the first quarter to take an early lead. Jackson Popeck scored four goals and Henry Moag (Loyola Blakefield) had three goals for Mary Washington. Joshua Martel (North County) and Gavin McKay each scored twice for the Seahawks.
Division I women
No. 15 Johns Hopkins 10, No. 5 Michigan 9: Bailey Cheetham scored in overtime to lift the Blue Jays over the Wolverines in the Big Ten Tournament quarterfinals on Saturday at Northwestern. After taking a 7-1 lead with 9:32 remaining in the third quarter, Johns Hopkins withstood a furious rally by Michigan, which tied the game at 9 with 1:13 remaining in regulation to force overtime. Maeve Barker had two goals and an assist to lead the Blue Jays, who will face No. 1 seed Northwestern on Thursday in the semifinals.
Rutgers 9, No. 7 Maryland 8: The Terps (12-5) rallied to take the lead with 12:19 remaining in the fourth quarter, but the Scarlet Knights (8-9) responded with three straight goals and held on to secure the upset win in the Big Ten Tournament quarterfinals Saturday at Northwestern. Rutgers jumped out to a 4-1 lead in the first quarter before the Terps stormed back to score the go-ahead goal from Victoria Hensh with 12:19 to play. But the Scarlet Knights held on while Sophia Cardello made several key saves down the stretch. Chrissy Thomas led all scorers with five points, scoring two goals and three assists. Libby May and Hannah Leubecker contributed two goals, and Eloise Clevenger scored a goal and added two assists.
Elon 12, Towson 11, OT: Sammy Fisher completed her hat trick by scoring the game-winner, assisted by Mia Zebley, with 5:02 left in overtime to lift the visiting Phoenix (9-7, 5-3 CAA) over the Tigers (7-9, 4-4) on Saturday. Milana Zizakovic scored a game-high four goals for Towson.
No. 9 Loyola Maryland 16, Bucknell 5: Chase Boyle (6 goals, 1 assist) set a new school single-season scoring record of 74 and the host Greyhounds (15-2, 9-0 Patriot) beat the Bison (5-10, 3-6) on Thursday. Sydni Black had four goals and two assists and Georgia Latch had two goals and four assists for Loyola. Loyola will host Thursday’s Patriot League semifinals and face the winner of Colgate vs. Holy Cross.
No. 20 Navy 18, American 10: The host Mids (14-3, 8-1 Patriot) tied a school record with 27 draw controls and beat the Eagles (7-9, 3-6) on Thursday. Navy was led by Maggie DeFabio (5 goals), Mikayla Williams (3 goals, 2 assists), Lola Leone (3 goals) and Tori DiCarlo (3 goals). The Mids will next face the winner of Lehigh-Army West Point in Thursday’s Patriot League semifinal at Loyola Maryland.
Division II women
Frostburg State 26, Davis & Elkins 7: The visiting Bobcats (11-5, 8-0 Mountain East Conference) went on a 14-0 run that spanned both halves and routed the Senators () on Saturday. Neila Haney scored a game-high eight goals, Julia Badolato had seven goals and Brittyn Leonard had four goals for Frostburg State. Both teams advance to the conference semifinals on Wednesday. Davis & Elkins travels to Charleston (W.Va.) at 3 p.m. and the Bobcats host West Virginia Wesleyan at 7 p.m.
Frostburg State 1, Notre Dame (Ohio) 0: The host Bobcats won by forfeit over the Eagles (4-9, 2-6 MEC) on Wednesday. Notre Dame forfeited its remaining league games starting April 13 because of a lack of available players.
Frostburg State 19, Charlston (W. Va.) 8: The host Bobcats routed the Golden Eagles (9-7, 6-2 MEC) on Sunday and secured their second straight regular-season conference title. The Bocats were led by Neila Haney (4 goals), Camden DeMaio each with four goals and Julia Badolato with three goals.
Division III women
Salisbury 18, Christopher Newport 11: The host Sea Gulls (13-3, 2-0 Coast to Coast) outscored the Captains (12-5, 1-1), 10-3, in the second half on Saturday. Salisbury was led by Mary Hanzsche (4 goals, 3 assists), Leah Vilov (3 goals). Alexandra Parker (St. Mary’s, 2 goals) and Erin Scannell (John Carroll, 2 goals). The Sea Gulls and Christopher Newport both advance to the conference semifinals Wednesday.
Stevenson 7, Widener 6: Isabelle VanEmburgh scored back-to-back goals in the fourth quarter for a 7-5 lead with less than 10 minutes to go and the visiting Mustangs (11-6, 5-2 MACC) outlasted the Pride (8-9, 4-3) on Saturday. Anna Johnston (Catonsville) made nine saves for Stevenson. The Mustangs travel to Messiah for the conference semifinals Wednesday.
Washington College 18, McDaniel 14: The visiting Shorewomen (10-6, 5-4 Centennial) used a 5-0 run in the second half to take control of the game from the Green Terror (6-11, 1-8) on Saturday. Mia Salvatierra (Fallston) and Morgan Sutherland (Liberty) each scored five goals for Washington College. Emma Legacy (St. Mary’s) scored a game-high six goals and Kat Thayer (Reservoir) had three goals for McDaniel. The Shorewomen advance to Wednesday’s conference first-round game at Muhlenberg.
Hood 15, Eastern 4: The host Blazers (7-10, 3-4 MACC) opened with a 7-0 run and routed the Eagles (1-15, 0-8) on Saturday. Hood got three goals from Mackenzie Demaio and Avery Stanley.
Cedar Crest 13, Notre Dame (Maryland) 12: The visiting Gators (2-9) went on a 3-0 run to take a one-goal lead with 7:39 left to play. The Falcons (9-4) scored twice over the final 7:20 to win a United East first round game on Saturday. Notre Dame led 8-5 before Cedar Crest went on a 5-1 run in the third quarter. Emma Alascia (Winters Mill) scored a game-high six goals and Jade Stewart had four goals for the Gators.
Lycoming 19, Goucher 5: The host Warriors (6-9, 2-7 Landmark) opened with a 5-0 run and routed the Gophers (3-14, 1-8) on Saturday. Goucher got two goals from Katherine Luetgens and Emily Burk (Perry Hall). Sydney Lewis (Carver A&T) made 12 saves for the Gophers.
St. Mary’s 11, Mary Washington 8: The host Seahawks (9-6) broke a 8-8 tie with a 3-0 run over the final 9:19 to beat the Eagles (5-11) on Friday. Sanne Elling scored twice during the run. Hailey Betch (Severna Park ) had a game-high four goals for St. Mary’s. The Seahawks are the top seed in the United East Championship and will play in the semifinals Wednesday.
Stevenson 19, Albright 5: The host Mustangs led with a 5-0 run and routed the Lions (2-14, 1-5 MACC) on Wednesday. Kara Yarusso scored a game-high six goals and Ava Treakle had four goals for Stevenson. The win stopped a two-game slide and secured a conference playoff spot.
Salisbury 19, Mary Washington 9: The visiting Sea Gulls stretched their one-goal lead with a 8-1 run in the second quarter Wednesday. The Eagles fell to 5-10, 0-2 C2C. Salisbury was led by Leah Vilov with five goals and Miranda Mears with three.
Washington College 12, Swarthmore 9: The host Shorewomen had an eight-goal lead and withstood a 5-0 run in the fourth quarter by the Garnet (8-6, 2-6 Centennial) and won Wednesday. Washington College was led by Mia Salvatierra (Fallston) with four goals and Abby Laubach and Morgan Sutherland (Liberty) had two goals each. Swarthmore got three goals from Isabela Bloomquist and Zoe Crawford.
Gettysburg 21, McDaniel 5: The visiting Bullets (14-2, 8-0 Centennial) used a 15-0 run that spanned both halves to rout the Green Terror on Wednesday. Jordan Basso and Emily Crane scored four goals each for Gettysburg. Emma Legacy (St. Mary’s) had three goals and Caleigh Kohr (C. Milton Wright) made eight saves for McDaniel.
York (Pa.) 21, Hood 9: The host Spartans (10-6, 5-0 MACC) led with a 8-0 run and routed the Blazers on Wednesday. York was led by Zoe Kluegel with five goals, Gianna Huet with four goals and Sofie Steel with three goals. Julia Gregory had three goals and MacKenzi Wright had two goals for Hood.
Bryn Athyn 11, Goucher 9: Shea Gormley had a natural hat trick to finish out a 7-0 run and the host Lions (10-2) won a come-from-behind victory over the Gophers on Tuesday. Gormley scored four of her game-high seven goals during the run. Emily Burk (Perry Hall) scored her second goal to give Goucher a 9-4 lead with 1:40 left in the third quarter. The Gophers were held scoreless the rest of the way. Camden West had three goals and Sydney Lewis (Carver A&T) made 14 saves for Goucher.
