Noteworthy: The USC commit tossed a one-hitter with five strikeouts in a 1-0 win over Oaks Christian on Friday to clinch Westlake’s first Marmonte League title since 2011. The 6-foot-6 left-hander is 7-0 this season with a 0.41 ERA and 76 strikeouts. Westlake is the No. 1 seed in the CIF-SS Division 2 playoffs and will be home Thursday against Mira Costa in the first round.
