‘Were they half-price?’ trolls ask a nail tech shares the ‘ugly AF’ manicure she’s done – but others say it’s impressive
AN ASPIRING nail tech has been brutally savaged after proudly showing off the manicure she gave a client.
The beauty guru, only known as Aaliyah, took to TikTok to share a snap of the nail makeover she charged one of her clients a little over £40 for.
According to the aspiring tech, from Atlanta, the USA, the client had asked for a summery manicure with a red base and thick French tips in white.
To zhuzh up the mani even more, the beauty lover had also opted for adorable mini cherry charm on every finger, with gold detailing around it.
After applying the so-called duck nail tips on her fingers, Aaliyah set off to work her magic, carefully applying the cute miniature gems and the gel polish.
But despite her best efforts, the end result was soon mocked online, as dozens reckoned the transformation could best be described as ”ugly AF”.
The Atlanta-based beauty tech, who posts under the username @delectablebabyyy, faced huge criticism for charging the client for the ”trash” makeover.
”Were they half the price?” one horrified troll wondered.
Another chimed in: ”Please tell me they were free?”
A third, meanwhile, revealed how they’d react if they were the client.
”I would cry a river.”
Luckily for the aspiring tech, whose video has taken the internet by storm with over 600k views, there was also heaps of support from kind-hearted social media users.
One fan of the nail glow-up said: ”Girl, you’re doing an amazing as a beginner!”
Another agreed, advising Aaliyah to not give up on her dreams, despite the harsh feedback.
”Keep going girl! Potential is there.”
Someone else was struggling to understand why there was so much hate, hitting back at the brutal trolls.
”Guys, she literally got what she asked for?
”She asked for duck nails she got them. Why are y’all so rude?”
Fortunately, none of this seems to have bothered Aaliyah who regularly shares her work on TikTok, where her videos have been liked close to 205k times.
The aspiring tech specialises in gel, design work, including charms and ”full bling”, as well as an ombré effect, and repairs.
Other appointments include acrylic toes, spa manicures, spa pedicures, as well as a fill-in and a soak-off, just to name a few.
