My skin has been going through it lately; the combination of cold winter weather and incorporating a few new products into my nighttime routine has caused my tried-and-true foundations to look patchy and dry on my skin. So even though I’m usually a full-coverage girl, I’ve been reaching for lightweight tinted moisturizers that don’t emphasize texture or separate after a few hours of wear.
Tinted moisturizers are a happy medium between full-coverage foundations and not wearing makeup at all; it’s the “dress with pockets” of the makeup world, if you will. A good tinted moisturizer is your skin but better — barely detectable but glowing and natural. To truly find the best tinted moisturizers out there, the Cut tested a host of them. It evens out my skin and blurs my pores but doesn’t need to be set with powder (which is perfect for days that require a quick, ten-minute makeup routine). Even without concealer, bronzer, or blush on top, this skin tint makes me feel put-together.
