LONDON, UK: Paul McCartney has become the first British musician to be worth 1 billion pounds (US$1.27 billion), according to the annual Sunday Times Rich List.

The 81-year-old former Beatle and his wife, Nancy Shevell, saw their wealth grow by 50 million pounds over the past year, thanks to McCartney's 2023 Got Back tour, the increasing value of his music catalog, and Beyonce's cover of The Beatles' "Blackbird"
