A five-year-old girl from Kerala died after swimming in contaminated water of a pond, succumbing to a rare infection caused by a brain-eating amoeba. The incident was reported by PTI, and the girl suffered from amoebic meningoencephalitis. She was from Moonniyur panchayat.
