NATIONAL SUMMARY

A large storm will climb northeast across the Plains today.

On the northern side of this storm, heavy rain can fall

across Nebraska, South Dakota and Minnesota. South of this

system, severe storms are expected to impact areas from

Wisconsin to Oklahoma. Storms will continue into the

overnight hours and can be very dangerous. Severe storms can

bring damaging wind gusts, hail, flooding and tornadoes. A

couple of thunderstorms will be possible across the interior

Northeast, and some of them can be heavy. A system moving

onshore in the Pacific Northwest can bring rain to the

coastal ranges and push some showers farther inland. Valley

showers and mountain snow are expected across Utah, Colorado

and Wyoming.
