Prime Minister Narendra Modi has accused Congress leaders, including Jawaharlal Nehru, of opposing reservations for deprived castes. Modi claimed that Nehru would not have agreed to quotas for SCs, STs, and OBCs without Baba Saheb Ambedkar's support. He also accused the opposition of spreading falsehoods about the BJP's ability to scrap quotas by changing the Constitution. Modi also accused the INDIA bloc of planning to give reservation benefits based on religion, claiming they are no longer supported by these groups.
