Report: Opinion split at Tottenham on whether to sell big-money signing this summer

Richarlison’s future at Tottenham Hotspur has been the subject of press speculation over recent times.

ESPN have now claimed that sources suggest that opinion within Tottenham is split on whether they should cash in on the striker should a suitable bid arrive this summer.

The 27-year-old suffered a stop-start season with the North Londoners partly due to injury which saw him register 12 goals across 31 appearances in all competitions (transfermarkt).

He did not travel with the rest of the Tottenham first-team squad for the trip to Australia ahead of Wednesday’s post-season friendly with Newcastle United.

Tottenham need a prolific forward if they are to break into the top four and genuinely look to compete for silverware across multiple competitions next season.

Unfortunately, Richarlison’s injury record has massively impacted his ability to perform consistently during his time at Tottenham and if a bid of around £60milion, they absolutely should cash in.

Brentford’s Ivan Toney would be an upgrade and likely available for a fee of not a great deal more.
