In line with the commitment of the State Government to ensure greater social and economic gains through strategic partnership in the sports sector, the Deputy Governor, Mr. Obafemi Hamzat hosted the legendary former Nigerian International Football Star, Peter Rufai who was accompanied by the Director-General of Lagos State Sports Commission (LSSC), Lekan Fatodu at his office in Alausa on Tuesday.
The Deputy Governor thanked Rufai for his worthy endeavours and assured him of the readiness of Lagos State Sports Commission, in working effectively with proven hands and professionals like Rufai to justify Governor Sanwo-Olu’s robust investment in sports and foster the development of more talents within the state.
In his remarks, Rufai expressed gratitude to Lagos State for being a cornerstone in his sports career, noting that he is always ready to render his support to sports development in the State.
He listed several commendable sports initiatives he has spearheaded in Lagos, reiterating his commitment to unveiling even more impactful programmes aimed at nurturing talent and fostering growth within the sporting community.
