Israelis living near Lebanon border under threat of Hezbollah attack. Why has IDF not sent troops there?

Israelis living in the areas bordering Lebanon are afraid as Hezbollah has deployed more than 1,600 anti-tank missiles, rockets and other projectiles since October 7, 2023. But IDF has not sent its troops there.
