KKR Vs SRH: Rinku Singh Turns Vlogger After Kolkata Knight Riders Clinch Third IPL Title In Chennai – WATCH
Chennai: Rinku Singh broke into an emphatic celebration with a hilarious blog after Kolkata Knight Riders outclassed Sunrises Hyderabad by eight wickets to clinch their third Indian Premier League title at the MA Chidambaram Stadium on Sunday. Although Rinku didn’t get as much chance as he would have wanted, the pocket dynamo was full of energy when it came to celebrating the triumph that came after 10 long years. KKR had won the title twice before in 2012 and 2014.
While all other KKR players were celebrating in their way, Rinku took his elder sister, Nitish Rana and Anukul Roy by his side and started his blog by saying, “Hi guys, welcome to a new vlog. Do subscribe and hit the bell icon.” He then also introduced the faces in the frame one by one and went on saying, “We won the final trophy, dream came true.” The video soon went viral.

Earlier, Rinku said his wait for seven years has ended in Chennai. “Outstanding feeling right now. Dream has come true – I have been here for 7 years and we are so happy. Credit to GG (Gautam Gambhir) sir. I will finally lift the IPL trophy. It was God’s plan,” he added. Later the Uttar Pradesh cricketer also hugged and celebrated with KKR co-owner Shah Rukh Khan, the video of which went viral.
Meanwhile, an ecstatic Rinku also sounded confident of lifting the World Cup as well. Rinku is a part of the four-member travelling reserves for the India team that will play in the T20 World Cup 2024 in USA and West Indies, starting next month.
“You guys watch, I will also be lifting the World Cup,” he said. “I am headed to Noida first, and then, I will be going to the United States of America. You guys watch, I will also be lifting the World Cup,” Rinku told ‘Jio Cinema’.
Rinku’s omission from India’s World Cup squad was a talking point after its announcement last month. He is among the four reserves, including star batter Shubman Gill. Talking about KKR’s performance this season, Rinku credited the entire unit and also lauded team mentor Gautam Gambhir, who returned to the side after seven years.
“You can’t credit just one person because everyone has worked hard. Since GG (Gautam Gambhir) sir came, a lot of things have changed. Sending Sunil early, he batted so well,” Rinku said. “The batters played well, and the bowling was great. Venky (Venkatesh Iyer) has been batting really well for the last five-six matches, so overall, everyone has done really well,” he added.
