Alex Monis called-up to Philippines National Team

FOXBOROUGH, MA– New England Revolution forward Alex Monis has been called up to the Philippines Men’s National Team for a one-week training camp.

The training camp is the first of many in the coming months for the Philippines as they look towards the 2026 FIFA World Cup Preliminary Competition and 2027 AFC Asian Cup Saudi Arabia Qualifiers.

Alex Monis, 21, is collecting his first ever international call-up with the Philippines Men’s National Team.

The Philippines will compete in 2026 FIFA World Cup Preliminary Competition and 2027 AFC Asian Cup Saudi Arabia Qualifiers during the upcoming FIFA International break from June 3 – June 11

Monis and The Philippines Men’s National team are set to face Vietnam (June. 6) and Indonesia (Jun. 11) with both matches counting as qualification rounds for both tournaments.

In January of 2024, Alex Monis joined the New England Revolution II from Chicago Fire FC, where he signed a home-grown player contract in March of 2020. He spent the 2023 campaign on loan to Rio Grande Valley FC of the USL Championship, where he tallied 1 goal in 6 appearances.

Since his arrival, Monis has made 10 MLS NEXT Pro appearances (8 starts) for the Revolution II.

He has tallied 3 goals (on 18 shots) with 1 assist. During that time, he has had 85.6% pass accuracy, 4 fouls committed and 2 yellow cards.

Richie Williams and the New England Revolution II (3-2-5, 13 pts.) are off to face Eastern Conference side Chattanooga FC (5-4-2, 22 pts.).
