‘Yes, I think so’ – Tottenham star confirms he is staying at the club this summer
The 2023/24 campaign was a mixed bag for Dejan Kulusevski, who has admitted he was not happy with his form towards the end of the season. Despite this, he has seemingly committed his future to Tottenham.
With eight goals and three assists in 36 Premier League appearances (Transfermarkt), it’s safe to say it wasn’t a bad season for Kulusevski by any means.
However, the Swede struggled for form at different stages of the season, particularly towards the end of the campaign, which saw him lose his place to Brennan Johnson for a significant run of games. That said, so plenty of the Spurs players hit a rough patch in the latter stages of the campaign.
Dejan Kulusevski is going nowhere
This summer, there has been talk of Kulusevski potentially linking up with former Spurs boss, Antonio Conte, at Napoli. The player himself was asked about the rumours by Aftonbladet, but said: “I don’t know anything about that. I have heard that Conte is going there. It will be fun to see him there, to see him back in football.”
When asked if he is staying at Spurs, Kulusevski replied: “Yes, I think so.”
Then, the conversation turned to a reflection of the season just gone, and Kulusevski admitted his frustration: “It has been good. There have been incredibly high peaks and deep valleys. It was a slightly worse period at the end where some results went against us. We lost a little focus and belief in ourselves.
“It was still a fifth place and an incredibly positive season. Personally, I’ve made incredible strides and gotten so much better – the way I see the game, my physique, I only missed one game all season due to illness, zero injuries. I’m happy and satisfied.”

Kulusevski’s form was very much hit-and-miss this season, but he’s still a very valuable player for us who can do great things when he’s at his best. I actually think he’s better through the middle than out wide, but that’s a decision for Postecoglou to make, and it’s always good to have that versatility.
